Details:

I removed a perfectly straight inner tube stanchion from this Slider. I installed a damper rod and it still slid perfectly smoothly. I suspect the Slider got tweaked at lower end, especially because axle removed from bike was bent. Oem number 17g00.

I mention this because have first-hand experience with a Slider that had moderately bent stanchion removed from it. Removed from 2004 with 8252 miles. I later installed a brand new stanchion with bushings and it slid perfectly smoothly. Then when I installed the damper rod, it had excessive drag throughout its entire travel.

I am now suspicious of any Slider that had a bent stanchion or axle removed. The Slider showed no visible damage but when I installed a brand new stanchion, it bound up in last 5 of compression. It is in perfect working condition with cosmetic flaws as shown picture 5.

This fork tube fits SV650 naked Andes model's as well 2009 SFV650.
