The threads on the 4 fender mounting holes outer lower tubes are good. All that is needed fresh oil and new fork seals to be fully functional. The threads on the axle pinch bolt and clamp at bottom of right-side fork are good. The bottoms of the springs are deeply pitted, however otherwise solid and functional.

The travel area the that passes through the fork seals is shown in two pictures with yellow tape measure. Complete EXCEPT for the rubber gators boots, which are missing. Most of the pitting on inner tubes is above travel area. The oil has been drained.

Used 1970 Yamaha XS1 fork tubes. The travel area is between and 4-3/4 in the two tape measure photos. The O-rings on the fork cap bolts are good. The white nylon upper spring seats, part # 211-23142-40- and the black plastic lower 168-23143-00- are rust-stained, but otherwise in good, solid, functional condition.
